Peppers, Sage, No Dairy, & Time

(Before It's News)

This month is just falling into the Hallows spirit for sure. (Yes, dammit, pun intended!)

Gerick came home from work with a cold again. His immune system is so much worse now than even a couple of years ago! He has the same earache problem I had from last week or so. I knew I was facing a day of husband whining (I love him dearly, but men are babies…)

Shayla was finally home for a few hours so I could sage and ward, and I went ahead and went through the whole house. I didn't feel as focused as I prefer to be when doing such work, so maybe this treatment won't last as long as the last one. I don't know. I'm making note now in case there's a difference. On the other hand, I did a pretty good working last time, so maybe it won't take as much this time. I also warded more thoroughly this time than last, so maybe that will help too.

I need to do my place again soon here as well. If I kick the spirits out of one unit, they may just move to another– they have before. I just need to feel focused, and we have to clean the whole place first, since that helps as well.

I'm at the tail end of my pepper harvest. I went around to a couple of neighbors who haven't received any yet and did some sharing. I still have plenty to can and dehydrate– and do one more batch of Devil's Horns! (Cream cheese & bacon poppers.) I had to warn everyone to process them with gloves on and not make the mistake I did!

Natasha had some muffins made with a no dairy recipe (since she's allergic– not lactose intolerant– accidental ingestion requires a trip to the hospital) and offered me some. I've tried a little of 2 types of cakes baked without dairy in them and they were very heavy and just terrible tasting! I declined. Given all the cheese I eat, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat dairy.

The above post has been brought to you by– time's passing. Time goes on, even when there's nothing especially exciting to talk about. Also-? I had to add that last part for the sake of my punster title. I'm cheap that way. =^D
