Re-focusing
I'm going to have to go back and backdate posts for this busy weekend. It was a good, but challenging, time! For now, however, I'm attempting to finish my short-story contest entry (almost finished!!) and re-focus myself.
Writing-wise, I do want to finish those memories of weirdness and alien abduction related events by the end of this summer. I'm tired of having this project looming in the back of my consciousness. I'm pretty close to the home stretch now, so might as well get on with it!
I also want to get back on the therapy-writing gig here soon. My goal is one post a week every Thursday or so… and I'm almost keeping up with it, but I need to knuckle under and finish my last book and get on to the next one!
I'm thinking that when it gets kind of quiet and I don't have a lot to write about I could find old entries from way back and reflect upon them (I've had this LJ for more than a decade now…).
Otherwise-? I'm doing a lot of fantasy stuff right now… games, fun fiction reading, scenario imagining that morphs (if its good) into story writing. Definitely keeping busy!!
My short-story entry will also soon be posted on this blog, so you'll all get to see it before it gets accepted or rejected. Which is a big deal for me because I am normally very protective of my wee creations. But this one is more circumscribed and less from my 'soul depths' and so I can handle it less personally. That should be coming up by the end of this week!
