  • So, if real, why could not the shark in the 1942 photo have been a whale shark? Can you share
    why you think it is a megalodon? Could one not speculate that this photo was a mock up to
    intimidate— someone? I know that the US and Brits were working a lot of psych props, such
    as paper mache artillery and such to give the illusion of strength in some otherwise compromising
    situations. What if the giant shark were a German attempt at intimidation of sea faring foes?

    Just throwing some alternatives to ancient megaladon out there to consider….
