When Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

(Before It's News)

The winds shifted so that instead of getting fresh air from the ocean, we're getting smokey air from the east. Its pretty thick out there, too.

All day long the sun shone through a dense layer of haze that gave everything a sepia-toned hue– like a sunset that lasted all day. It was downright eerie. The actual sunset was spectacular, though– naturally.

So many fires all over the place. We got that full day of rain last week where I live so I think we're good for a little while, but anything east of the Cascade Mountain range is just tinder waiting for a spark.

Scary times…
