I'm continuing to settle in rather well. Only a couple more steps before my den is finished and then all I have to worry about is decorating for the holidays next month. I think I'll have my own small Yule tree in my room since I don't want the kittens to ruin all my ornaments. This will be the worst year with them. 3 kittens at Yule!? Eeps!
The rain front moved in and after several semi-dry days (in which I went walking) things have gone gray and wet. Still, I enjoy the view out my windows and I thought I'd share.
I freakin' LOVE autumn!
This is looking out the bedroom window (the purple lights are a dead giveaway, huh?)
And a better view of the Japanese maple that I love looking at through that window.
I don't have the lights up around my den window yet, but you can see I'm pretty much in a forested area with homes just nicely tucked in between the tall evergreen trees.
I'm pretty happy if I have trees around me, especially firs and cedars! I grew up in the PNW, was born in Seattle, and its home. What can I say? Its not rural, but if you have to live in the 'burbs, at least its park-like 'burbs.
