A Week of Gratitude
From Sunday through Wednesday on Facebook this week, I'm taking the time to say an extra public “thank you” to all the people who helped me out in the last year or so. From former co-workers to old friends, from old tenants at White Gables to anonymous donors who contributed to my divorce fund.
I wanted to do that in the LJ format as well. Several people from LJ helped me out emotionally with kind words of support in text, others offered phone calls in addition, and a couple even donated to my divorce fund as well!
I won't 'out' you in case you want to keep your assistance to me private, but please know you are in my heart, and I am full of gratitude this year for those who extended kindness and let me know I was not alone!
I made it to the other side of that mess, and I'm well on my way to rebuilding my life. It was hard and horrific at times, but good people came forward and carried me through when I couldn't do it myself. I'm alive and sane because of your efforts.
