Common Sense Preparedness Spotlight (Patriot Music.com)
This quarter Common Sense Preparedness would like to spotlight the musician that you hear on our radio program. Matt Fitzgibbon and Patriot Music.com
The first time I heard Matt Fitzgibbons’ patriotic music, I was on a flight line overseas. The song was “For the Heroes”, and he had written it, and given it away for our servicemen and women, for Americans like me. It gave me the courage to carry on, to get home, and made me see that people back home really honored what I was doing overseas. I will never forget that day. Matt’s music gave me encouragement, honor, and a real sense of pride. His music moves you from pride to honor to laughter, and he can make you want to sing along. I bought his first CD (Patriot) in 2005 and listened to it from start to finish too many times to remember. But just when I thought that he couldn’t do any better, he released his second CD in 2006 called “Patriot 2: A Celebration of Liberty”. He had produced another hellacious album that was even better than the first one… non-political but yet very powerful. It’s no wonder he’s won two ASCAP awards and had songs featured in films.
