FEMA Operational Briefing (11.21.12 Northwest Storms / Solar Flares)
Possible solar Flare activity. Active Region (AR) 1618 has developed into a massive sunspot within days. It has been generating very minor solar flares almost continuously, which is increasing the risk of a major CME. Currently NOAA has increased M Class forecasts to 70% and X Class flares to 15%.

The Northwest is being hammered by rain and snow. They have had over 7” of rain in two days, some major flooding is occurring and 13,000 homes are without power.
