Recently he sent me some photos of what his friends call “Dave’s State Park.” He gave me permission to share them with you. I’ve slightly edited his accompanying comments for clarity.
Enjoy!
Here are some photos of “Dave’s State Park” (what my friends started calling my place years ago. The name sorta stuck.)
1) Entrance to “Dave’s State Park.”
2) My raised bed garden area–with hundreds of blueberry bushes all around. Some of the beds hadn’t even been planted yet when the photo was taken.
3) I should also include the flooding picture that shows why I did raised beds in the first place! Note that the water was more than halfway up the beds at one point this summer. This was the wettest summer I’d seen in 25 yrs living in North FL.
4) My sinkhole in the springtime (it’s crystal clear nowadays, as the floodwaters have receeded and the nightime temps have dropped into the 40′s. It always goes clear when that happens). Note the Tarzan swing in the background.
