Preppers Have New Reasons to Give Thanks This Year

How can that be in light of recent events? After all, there’s a feeling of forboding and dread throughout the land. What’s the world coming to when you have a hard time getting Twinkies? It seems harder to be thankful right now.

But, seriously, let me put a different spin on things.

Hurricane Sandy, like Hurricane Katrina in 2005, has been a wake up call to preparedness for many. That’s good news. It’s too bad it takes trials and tribulation to motivate us. Pray for those still feeling Sandy’s sting. And give to organizations like the Salvation Army and others who can offer meaningful help.

On the political front, things look bleak because the elections didn’t go like many wanted. All 50 states have groups who have petitioned the White House for secession. Some say it’s time because the New World Order globalist government seceded from we the people.

I read a few days ago that secessionist petitions were issued in the aftermath of the elections in 2004 and 2008. But I don’t recall hearing anything like the stir going on now. It may come to nothing. Or it might be the beginnings of a surprising ground swell.

Either way, it’s incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it. We could be watching history in the making.

If Americans do rise up en masse, be ready for backlash. The toppling of the CIA director shows clearly the lack of privacy any of us has when a government agency wants to surveil us. Plus, utility companies have the capacity to shut off power to those with so-called Smart meters. A section of a city can be shut down if violence breaks out and martial law is declared.

Might we even see actions as drastic as the famine and genecide carried out by Stalin in the Ukraine in the 1930′s?

Only God knows where it all goes from here.

Why mention this in conjunction with the Thanksgiving season? Because preppers can be thankful for a new clarity which has caught up to many. Or, if it hasn’t yet, it soon will.

Think of recent events this way. If we’re becoming more polarized as a nation, doesn’t that make things clearer? Won’t we know better where we each stand?

Does anyone with half a brain seriously question that we’re headed for greater economic troubles? And does anyone really think politicians can solve our problems?

The path of our future has become more plain. Our country will slide further into socialism and decline. so-called Obamacare will set limits on medical treatments, especially for the elderly and handicapped. Its implementation will hurt businesses throughout the country.

I could say more, but you get the idea.

Can you see it more clearly now? In this world where so many things go on and on and never get resolved, be thankful for that new clarity.

So don’t be downcast. Be thankful for the things for which you usually give thanks each Thanksgiving. And by all means keep prepping.
