Need heat? No electricity? Here is an idea to make a portable emergency heater that can be made from common household items.
One of my favorite YouTube Channels is USNERDOC. He does an excellent job making informative and high quality video’s. This particular one deals with making an emergency heater out of a paint can, toilet paper and rubbing alcohol. Cheap and effective.
I made one of these last year and can attest it does work. The video on the bottom is his field test.

i wouldnt burn TP. you know how valuable TP will be 2 weeks after the SHTF????
the man with the TP will be calling the shots. all the other preppers might have bullets, batteries and canned food, but who will have the TP?
besides, you can always burn any number of other things. leaves come to mind.
You can live without TP, you cannot live without food. The one with the TP will not be calling the shots. He will be calling the man with canned foods!
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
My two cents: I wouldn’t personally use this for heat as I’m not certain it’s absolutely safe. Sterno is very similar to this and is safe to use indoors but the product is gelled and does not contain a wood product. As such, this could be incredibly useful to cook with.
