Prep Updates 12/14/12
Yesterday I was witness to an example of the sad state of human apathy and moral decline that we are in as a country. I was having lunch in a local sandwich shop, sitting a few tables away from the door and off to the side. To my right and nearest the wall (and exit pathway) there were a few other guys sitting at tables having their lunch. I turned to look as an older lady made her way to the door, having to use two crutches to walk (while holding her lunch in her hand). She was taking her time making her way to the closed door, moving slowly past the other guys who didn’t even give her a second glance. Utterly disgusted at them I got up and walked across the room, making it in time to hold the door open for her. It’s not even about being courteous, it was just the right thing to do.

PJ: Think about how much “money” you have in your account(s). What makes it real? Is it real because you can log onto a website and look at numbers, or is it real because you can swipe a piece of plastic in exchange for a product? What would happen if one day, all of those numbers disappeared? Gone, wiped out, never to return. There would be mass chaos, people calling for the government to step in and “make it right.” But after the problem did not resolve itself…?
U.N. Conference Slyly Introduces Resolution to Gain Control of Internet—in Middle of Night
PJ: Fortunately the US rejected this attempt (along with other countries) but rest assured it is not going away. More oversight will be needed, in order to protect us all! Think of the kids!
