Prep Updates 12/27/12
Winter has arrived with full force, with a storm pushing east through the US and bringing with it snow, rain, sleet and very cold temps. I hope that you who reside in the path of the storm remain relatively unaffected but still have your contingency plan ready to implement if the power goes out. A few months ago I wrote about the importance of for preparing for winter, check out the article.
I should also note that the price of guns, ammo and magazines has absolutely gone off the charts, as I’m sure you are well aware. I took the time to update my Election Hysteria and Skyrocketing Gun and Ammo Prices post, which I originally wrote on Nov 6, 2012. You can check out the post for the full details, but some of the major highlights include a Mini 14 which has gone from $699 to $1199, an AK47 which has gone from $1060 to $1699 and finally a box of 1k rounds of PMC 5.56 which has gone from $395 to $672!! It is unreal to watch this unfold and I hate to say it but if you did not get what you needed many months ago (or years ago) the time to buy has passed. I would also caution against selling in order to make a quick profit. Sure you could part with an AR or a few thousand rounds and make some decent cash off of a desperate buyer, but why? Keep what you have as the future remains very uncertain.
