The last day in 2012, I’m not sure how to mark this milestone. Moving into 2013 I am reminded yet again of how time waits for no man, how the pages keep turning and how we can never get them back. This is a time for me to reflect on what really matters and none of it is materialistic in nature. I keep a fortune cookie message in my wallet which reads: the best things in life, aren’t things. As I have gotten older I have continued to gain perspective and I have come to realize that while things and trinkets are nice, nothing is more important than family.
Here’s to all of us making it through 2013 together.

Current events and opinion:
You know what’s going on, the debt ceiling and the Fiscal cliff, gun control etc etc. I’m only going to post one outstanding article which I read today and I would encourage you to read it (and share it). I will only post this article because I believe this nails it with regards to the issues we face as a nation, and on another level vindicates those of us who are preparing for uncertain (and tough) times which undoubtedly lie ahead. As we say goodbye to 2012 and usher in 2013….I can only wonder how long this charade can continue.
