At its meeting earlier this week, the city council members changed the procedures that were previously announced and would not let citizens speak until the end of the meeting against this proposed ordinance that would ultimately ban the Glendale gun show. City council members would not even listen to ideas from its citizens on child safety or supporting an NRA Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program which teaches children from pre-K to third grade gun accident prevention.

Gun shows in California are heavily regulated. All firearms sales, including private and gun show sales, transfers or loans, must go through a California licensed firearms dealer with a ten-day waiting period before delivery of any firearm. This proposed anti-gun ordinance will do nothing to stop criminals or lunatics from committing acts of violence and will only prevent law-abiding gun owners from exercising their Second Amendment rights.
The next city council meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 22 at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 613 East Broadway, Second Floor in Glendale. If you are unable to attend, please call AND e-mail members of the Glendale City Council and urge them to OPPOSE any ordinance that would result in the closure of gun shows in Glendale.
