IL Attorney General Files Challenge To Appeals Court Ruling On Illinois Concealed Carry

Illinois --(Ammoland.com)- As many of you have heard by now, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a challenge to last month’s appeals court ruling that struck down Illinois’ ban on concealed carry.
That decision was rendered by a 3-member panel of the appeals court.
Madigan has petitioned the full court of appeals to review the panel’s ruling.
We fully expected Madigan to file this challenge. We see it as a desperate attempt to capitalize on the Newtown murders. We are confident that Madigan’s challenge will go down in flames and the clock on the 180-day implementation of concealed carry will continue to tick.
No action is required of you at this time. This alert is for your information only. Just rest assured that the ISRA is prepared to meet this challenge and will faithfully represent your interests before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
