Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)- Jackson County Kentucky Sheriff Denny Peyman is making it clear that no law that violates the Constitution will be upheld in his county.

This especially applies to new gun control edicts Obama & Co. are trying to push onto the American people.

Said Peyman: “My office will not comply with any federal action which violates the United States Constitution or the Kentucky Constitution which I swore uphold.”

And far from worrying about repercussions for doing this, Peyman sees the gun control push as a sign of weakness that will crumble in the face of real opposition: “Just a few of us have to be willing to stand up to political opposition putting our people at risk. The other side will back down.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have found a patriot. And his name is Sheriff Denny Peyman.

  • http://www.countysheriffproject.org/ Here are a a lot more Sheriffs who get little media attention, they are standing tall to enforce the 10th amendment and the 2nd Amendment, please share this link, lots of vids from the Youtube of them speaking, there commitment to educating other law enforcement of our Bill of rights, and Constitution, protecting state rights and home owners rights over federal tyranny.

      • Go back to third grade grammar. You haven’t progressed past second grade.

  • All Kentucky Sherrifs should follow his lead, we will not stand for this! period !

  • back down? i doubt it. you better be ready to fire on federal officers. and they will kill you. all they had to do is look at james yeager funny and he tucked tale.

    • I’d imagine the Sheriff has plenty of guns at his disposal, and he’d get a huge posse of concerned citizens to stand behind him.

  • President Obama took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. An executive order for owners to register firearms or turn themselves into felons through failure to comply would constitute dismantling the Second Amendment in that Constitution’s Bill of Rights without going through the necessary legal steps to repeal it — in other words, an attempt to presume dictatorial powers. Issuing such an executive order may actually constitute the commission of a felony by the President. That being the case, if the Administration should issue such an order, the Senate could and should empower its Sergeant at Arms to arrest the President and take him into custody.

    • To bad Terrance Gainer is a former Chicago LEO. I would wager that he would back President Obama in his executive orders.

  • Regardless of how you feel and your stance on gun control and regulation, its probably a good idea to become educated on gun safety and self protection.

A CCDW course offers a lot of good information. Also, its possible that any new laws or regulations that effect KY citizens may not effect holders of CCDW permits.

I found some really good info here:
