    Nice!

  • Jf all else fails you can use it to ring 911 (or whatever, wherever!)

  • Holy crap, this is an awesome article! And Inkling, there are many places out in the wilderness where you won’t get a signal. I barely get a signal out at my house, and I’m only 20 minutes from the nearest town, but my land is tucked into a flat mountain ridge, so we have to use a land line. This article is mainly for those who hike, camp, and even just drive into places with no service and end up stranded (or you know, the whole collapse thing happens). This is great info, I’m printing it out and keeping it! Thanks Sebastian, my hubsand and I have 1 simple cellphone (not even a smartphone) between us, since I can’t drive myself anymore due to a spinal injury, and with bad service in the mountains in general, I always wondered the damn thing was good for. Now I know.

  • Might be the best use for an iphone yet discovered. They should make this an app.
