Have you ever wondered how long past the expiration date. The simple answer is between 2 and 5 years. Look for dents and bulges though. If you don’t, you may spend TEOTWAWKI as a corpse. If you canned food has meat in it, about 2 years past the Best Buy date is good. Note I said Best By. Most canning companies put a date on there that tells the “Freshness” of the product. It does NOT mean that it will spoil at that point. This is good to know…
