FEMA Operational Briefing (April 18, 2013)
Texas Fertilize Plant Explosion.
The little town of West, Texas suffered a explosion at one of its local fertilizer plants, killing between 5 to 10 people and injuring over 200. 75 to 100 homes and business have been damaged or destroyed. The entire town has been evacuated and 8 shelters are open with unknown occupants.
Boston Terrorist Attack
Investigation is on-going, 3 dead and 176 injured, 17 remain in critical condition. Boston returning to normal services, except for attack area.
Severe Weather
A storm system in the Mid-West from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico is causing severe Thunderstorms and tornadoes. If you are in this areas, you have to monitor your NOAA radio and keep your eyes to the sky. If you see a tornado in your area, find shelter immediately. River Report
The storms yesterday in the Great Lakes Region has caused Major flooding (62 Flood Gages at Major Flood Stages) in Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. Illinois is the most severe state hit with this flood.
