Prep Updates 04/19/13
I have to share a conversation with all of you which I overhead, totally unrelated to prepping but I’m pretty sure you won’t mind. It really was one of those “I can’t believe I’m actually getting to witness this” type of moments. I was in a store today looking for some running shoes, one of the employees there was a man who had to be in his 70′s. While I was trying on some shoes he walked over to a woman who had to be around the same age as he was, the following is the exchange which ensued.
Man: May I help you?
Woman: I would like to try these in a size 10.
Man: We don’t have those in a size 10, but you can go online to see if they are there.
Woman: Online?
Man: Yes, on the computer.
Woman: So I go on the computer, and just type in the word online?
Man: No, you go to the store’s website.
Woman: Well that doesn’t sound like online to me?
Man: I can write it down for you.
Woman: Ok please do.

PJ: The Administration did not get their way, but they are far from taking their ball and going home. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds, what type of “actions” are taken via Exec Order.
Pelosi: Tougher gun controls ‘inevitable’
PJ: It really is crazy how this has played out. At first they were consoling, we just want what you want and oh by the way….we still support the 2nd Amendment. As their case disintegrated before their very eyes the placating turned to rage, insults and threats.

PJ: I was keeping tabs on this throughout the day. Seems like the interwebs private investigators had it all figured out, until they didn’t.
Yellowstone’s Volcano Bigger Than Thought
PJ: This IS a legitimate threat to life as we know it and would essentially wipe out everything west of the MS river if it were to erupt…and it will erupt again. Considering there isn’t really much we can do about it, might as well not worry about it too much. It could be tomorrow, it could be in 500 years.

PJ: I’ve been speculating on this as well, the only real question is how soon could this happen.

PJ: Nice little DIY article. Pallets are great when you don’t want to stand in the mud to take a “shower” using a bucket of water.
