New partnership with MOOSE Media announced.
Ducks Unlimited TV
West Point, MS --(Ammoland.com)- The Ducks Unlimited TV show (DU TV) will move to the Pursuit Channel with new episodes beginning in July 2014.
Ducks Unlimited and MOOSE Media have agreed to a two-year production and distribution relationship to produce and air DU TV on the Pursuit Channel in the third and fourth quarters of 2014 and 2015.
The show will also be available online on the DU website and through Pursuit Channel’s category-exclusive IPTV portal.
DU TV has been a respected mainstay on national television since the 1990s. The show is currently airing on the Outdoor Channel at 12:00 p.m. Mondays, 10:00 a.m. Tuesdays and 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays (all times Eastern). It will continue to air on the Outdoor Channel through the end of 2013.
Current DU TV host Field Hudnall will be joined next season by a team of waterfowling experts in a new format designed to keep the show entertaining and fast moving. Each show will feature waterfowling action from across North America, as well as segments on hunting tips and tactics, retriever training, wild game cooking, shotgunning, and conservation.
“DU TV has been one of the most important and effective tools we have to reach our core audience of waterfowl enthusiasts,” said Ducks Unlimited CEO Dale Hall. “Our new agreement with the Pursuit Channel and MOOSE Media will help us get our message to more of that audience than ever before. We will reach millions of people through broadcasts on the Pursuit Channel. And, by also making the show available on the DU website, we have the potential to reach millions more. Our members want options for real-time access to the video information and entertainment produced by DU, which made a Pursuit Channel package extremely attractive.”
MOOSE and DU will begin filming the next two seasons of DU TV this month at locations classified by DU as high-priority conservation areas in Canada and the United States. “We are confident that combining our strengths with the capabilities and vision of MOOSE will equal a next-level television experience for Ducks Unlimited,” said Ducks Unlimited Chief Communications Officer Tom Fulgham. “We are reformatting the show to provide the kind of entertainment and information our viewers have asked for. At the same time, the show will emphasize the overarching importance of conservation and the critical habitat mission of Ducks Unlimited.”
Rusty Faulk, Founder and CEO of Pursuit Channel, called the DU TV agreement one of the most rewarding moments of his career. “Accommodating a television series that represents the most successful conservation organization on earth is a remarkable occasion,” he said. “That DU TV chose Pursuit Channel is a very humbling and exciting responsibility.”
Ducks Unlimited Inc. is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to conserving North America’s continually disappearing waterfowl habitats.
