The Constitution is probably one of the most important documents that WE NEVER READ or HAVE NEVER READ. In political arguments and discussions the term “that is un-Constitutional” is thrown around a lot. I think in these troubling times where the average citizen is looking at the events that are shaping and changing this country through clouded eyes – YOUR facts via discussions could help guide them to the light.
The United State Constitution consists of only 4400 words which makes it in governmental documents the shortest Constitution of any modern government in the world. Consider that the foundation of our governmental system is a fraction the length of the modern ObamaCare document. Interesting……..
The rule of law of this country and its freedoms are foundational within the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. It is important to know THE LAW that our founders set fourth. These are the very same laws and rights that are getting trampled on today all over this country with barely a peep out of its citizens.
I get chills when I read “We the people” in the preamble and consider what these folks were doing so long ago. Amazing the courage and independence they displayed.
Throughout the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments of the Constitution) our rights regarding religion, speech, assembly, bearing arms, to be protected against unwarranted search and seizures, the powers of the States, and the right to a fair and speedy trial. There’s a lot there.
So – are you familiar with the Constitution? Are you aware of just how important these documents are?
