FEMA Operational Briefing (12.25.13)

Residents of Michigan and Maine are still suffering from the winter storm that dumps massive amounts of snow on them this weekend.

Currently MI has 161K residence without power; ME has 74K residences without power. Power loss emergency plans should be in full force right now for these areas.

The US Shelter system is also in full operations in these states with 7 shelters open in MI and 6 open in ME.

During this holiday season, remember there is evil out there and strong men and women who stand on the front line (Military and Civilian) who protect us, so we can celebrate our holidays. Please take a moment and remember these men and women during this season for they are the true, real American Patriots, who take up their positions on the American Front lines, fulfilling their duty to their countrymen.
