2014 Giveaway Contest in honor of the new blog design
If you’re a regular reader here you have no doubt noticed that we have redesigned the look and function of the blog. This should be a big improvement over the old layout. We’ve checked the blog on every browser and device that we can get our hands on and it seems to be loading quickly and working well across the board. I did notice that there are few things that are not exactly where they belong when viewing the site using the IE browser. We hope that most, if not everybody, likes the new look.
In honor of this change we have elected to run a real quick and simple contest even though I have said many times that we would not be running contests. This contest will be very simple and very quick. The prizes are not that elaborate (so this is basically just a fun way to clean up my office desk).
- 1st Prize: The Simple Survival Smart Book that we recently reviewed.
- 2nd Prize: A Bushmaster Flint and Steel firestarter
- 3rd Prize: The Ultimate Guide to Permaculture book
- 4th and 5th Prizes: a small Keychain Folding Knife
Are you wondering just what incredible feat of daring or intellect you would have to perform to win one of these valuable prizes?
It’s simple:
There is a phrase written in Morse Code at the top of the blog page. All you need to do is translate it and write your results in a comment below. The first five comments with the correct answer will win the corresponding prize. All letters and symbols in the phrase must be translated in order to be correct.
We will keep all of the comments private until the end of the contest. When we receive at least 5 correct comments the contest is over. All comments from actual contestants will be posted so the actual dates and times will be seen by all.
