NJ Star Ledger Editorial Board Reveals In Their Hypocrisy When It Comes To Guns
AmmoLand Gun News
Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- They’ve gone and done it again readers.
The New Jersey Star Ledger, on the verge of going out of business just 5 months ago, has once again shown their rank hypocrisy when it comes to anything having to do with the issue of firearms with the OP-Ed piece “Hey Wyoming, Butt Out Of Jersey’s Gun Laws” (http://tiny.cc/utphbx)
Today’s Editorial lambasts the State of Wyoming for leading the way as numerous States have recently signed on ( as well as over 30 members of Congress) to am amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court asking the Court to address the as yet unanswered question of whether or not the Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms outside ones home in case of confrontation, striking down as Unconstitutional , the “justifiable need” clause for a carry permit currently in place in NJ.
Anyone that reads the Heller Decision can clearly recognize the multiple hints contained there in as to which way the Court would lean regarding such a question, and the result of McDonald vs Chicago, incorporating the Heller Decision against the States via the 14th Amendment means that a favorable decision in the Drake case would automatically strike down “justifiable need” for a law abiding Citizen to be granted a carry permit.
Funny ( not really) that today’s Star Ledger Editorial is outraged over other States interfering with NJ gun laws with such gems as “butt out.” and “Do they want us meddling in their gun laws? “
Yet the very same Editorial Board was, just about a year ago, falling all over themselves singing the praises of Loretta Weinberg (NJ D State Senate Majority Leader) and her efforts to bring the “Newtown, CT Familes” to the NJ Legislature to testify about the urgent need for an arbitrary magazine capacity limit bill. That is far from the first time the Star Ledger Editors have openly and publicly displayed their hypocrisy, not by a long shot.
For years now they have given an open stage to Anti Gun Religious Zealot Bryan Miller, with not only his own ” blog spot ” hosted on the Star Ledgers website, but essentially unmoderated commentary on articles when he posts under the screen name “ BantheNRA” .
And what do you know ? Bryan Miller isnt even a resident of NJ !
If the ownership of the Star Ledger really want to get to the bottom of the papers precipitous perch on the edge of oblivion, a great place to start would be within the ranks of the Editorial Board, who have turned the paper into a NJ version of Pravda. Nothing more then a blatant propaganda organization pretending to be an unbiased news source.
The truth is, when it comes to the Star Ledger and its Editorial Board, the Emperor has had no clothes for years now, and people are finally starting to see it for themselves.
