Gander Mountain Coming To Algonquin, IL
Popular outdoors retailer adding seventh Illinois store.

ST. PAUL, MN - Autumn means hunting, hiking, fitness and the great outdoors for many Illinois residents.
In 2014 it will also mean new opportunities for outdoors enthusiasts to find great prices, the best selection and friendly service when shopping for the best in gear and apparel.
Gander Mountain is once again expanding the nation’s largest and fastest growing network of outdoor specialty stores with a new location in Algonquin, IL, set to open in the fall.

Gander Mountain in Algonquin will be located in a new 52,000-square-foot store to be constructed on Randall Road, adjacent to the Wal-Mart Supercenter. It will be the seventh Gander Mountain location in Illinois, joining existing stores in Geneva, Joliet, Peoria, Rockford, Springfield, and a new store announced for Champaign, to open in the fall.

Gander Mountain’s newest store will feature one of the largest selections of new and used firearms in Illinois, together with the best selection of gear and accessories for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery. The store will offer an extensive selection of men’s and women’s active performance outdoor and casual apparel featuring exciting brands like The North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, GSX, Carhartt, Guide Series and Kühl, and a wide variety of men’s and women’s active footwear featuring brands like Asics, Merrell, Rocky, Reebok, Reef, Keen, Irish Setter, Teva, New Balance, Patagonia, Timberland, LaCrosse, Itasca, Saucony and Salomon.
Customers will enjoy easy access to Gander Mountain’s unmatched selection of new and used firearms around the country, whether the firearms are located at other stores, in central distribution facilities or on Gander Mountain’s market-leading online store.
