Lismore Castle -(Ammoland.com)- Blackwater Carriage Driving Club are preparing for their fifth annual charity drive which will take place on Sunday 3rd of May 2015 in aid of ‘Friends of Leukaemia Patients’, County Cork.

The club was established in 2011 by a group of carriage driving enthusiasts from West Waterford and East Cork who enjoy carriage driving for recreation and pleasure. Members of the club meet up most weekends and drive one of the many beautiful routes around the Blackwater valley.

The drives are taken at a leisurely pace with a stop for refreshments at the halfway point. A variety of carriage types are used, from modern to antique, and the use of sulkies is prohibited. Non-members, with properly trained horses and safe equipment, are welcome to drive with the group at any time.
