Annapolis, MD -(Ammoland.com)- March 10 in the House Judiciary Committee (HJC) and March 12 in the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee (SJPC) were two big days in Maryland’s recent Second Amendment history.

Dozens upon dozens of Marylander’s showed up to support the pro-gun bills put forth between the two houses and not one person, organization or State agency showed up to oppose any of them. This could be the turning point that we all have been fighting for!

And in contrast to some hearings in the past, both Committees were gracious while hosting the 2A community, with Chairman Vallario of the HJC continuing his tradition of listening to everyone that came to speak and Chairman Zirkin of the SJPC doing the same and recognizing the President of MSI at the beginning of his testimony and telling him to take his time while discussing each bill.

Perhaps the most powerful Pro-2A testimony ever on record happened when former Captain Jack McCauley spoke before the SJPC in support of the pro-gun bills. If you haven’t heard it yet, you owe it to yourselves to listen, and then to share it with everyone you know. You can find the video below.

Jack McCauley Testimony:

In addition to Mr. McCauley’s testimony, a rape survivor also gave very powerful testimony. TheBlaze and Daily Mail have both picked up on her compelling story. The video of her testimony can be found here: Rape Survivor Testimony.

You are making a difference! Now keep it up! Email, call or visit the members of the two Committees, thanking them for their support and asking them to bring the Bills to a vote. Continue to make phone calls to Senator Zirkin asking him to allow SB100 to be voted on by his committee.

Don’t forget to show your colors and support MSI with logo gear from the MSI Store.

About Maryland Shall Issue

Maryland Shall Issue is an all volunteer, non-partisan effort dedicated to the preservation and advancement of all gunowners’ rights in Maryland, with a primary goal of CCW reform to allow all law-abiding citizens the right to carry a concealed weapon; and to the education of the community to the awareness that ‘shall issue’ laws have, in all cases, resulted in decreased rates of violent crime.
