Weatherby proudly embraces a company tradition that has been handed down for 70 years-inspire the dreams of hunters and shooters. Never has this been more evident than Weatherby’s Mark V donation to the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) membership drive.
BHA has a universal determination towards educating and uniting North America’s sportsmen on the importance of preserving our beloved outdoors. To enhance awareness for this essential organization, Weatherby’s Marketing Director, Justin Moore, donated an iconic Mark V to the latest BHA membership drive. As a result, all members who joined the conservation group, a $20 annual fee, were also entered for a chance to win the contributed rifle. Accompanied by a donated Leupold optic, the prize package was recently awarded to a lucky member at the BHA Annual Rendezvous in Spokane, Washington.
“We were honored by Weatherby’s support of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers’ sponsorship efforts,” said Land Tawney, the Executive Director of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. “Weatherby has consistently shown leadership in advancing conservation approaches that represent sportsmen’s values. We look forward to continuing our work with their team to uphold North America’s backcountry outdoor traditions.”
The donated Mark V rifle not only graced the cover of the 2015 Weatherby catalog, but was also used on an intrepid Dall sheep hunt in the remote mountain ranges of Alaska, last fall.
The Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Annual Rendezvous attracts supporters from across the United States and Canada that are genuinely interested in conservation issues and sustaining North America’s outdoor heritage. The 2015 BHA seminar broke records in both attendance and money raised for public lands, water and wildlife.
