Dumb things I did camping… pooped in front of a family

Went backpacking on Grandfather Mountain, NC with my 17 year old son. It was really windy and cold. Temps dropped to the low 20′s. My feet started getting really cold so I took my boots off and put them near the fire. My son kept telling me; “Dad I think you’re going to burn your socks!” I laughed until I realized I actually HAD burnt a hole in my sock!! LOL Luckily I had a spare pair.
