NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Orchid Advisors and Epicor have jointly become the newest Gold-level sponsors of the 2016 SHOT Show University.

Based in Hartford, Connecticut, Orchid Advisors is a management consultancy serving all manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers in the firearms trade, with an emphasis on issues of compliance.

Epicor, based in Shelton, Connecticut, is a provider of ERP (enterprise resource planning) software and consulting services.

“Orchid Advisors and Epicor provide strong support for NSSF and its many educational forums with their Gold sponsorship of the 2016 SHOT Show University,” said Patrick Shay, NSSF Director, Retail Development. “These organizations have shown tremendous commitment to all sectors of our industry, and we are very pleased to have them provide this additional support to our retailers attending SHOT Show.”

“Orchid Advisors and Epicor are strong supporters of NSSF’s SHOT Show University and are proud to co-sponsor the event,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO of Orchid. “We believe this is an excellent opportunity for Federal Firearms Licensees to learn from a broad group of presenters on topics that include retail and manufacturing performance, software and compliance.”

The 2016 SHOT Show University, the premier event for today’s firearms retailers, will take place January 18, the day before the show opens. Four educational tracks within the University are designed to allow retailers from startups to veteran the opportunity to engage with a host of well-regarded business experts speaking on laws and regulations affecting their businesses, opportunities for growth and the latest in technology.

Registration for the 2016 SHOT Show and SHOT Show University are now open. Following last year’s success with ticket restructuring, once again NSSF will offer its Premium Retailer members one complimentary ticket to SHOT Show University. Tickets for any other NSSF member level and additional tickets for Premium Retailer members are $250. Non-NSSF members are welcome to attend, with a ticket price of $500. This event is always a sell-out, so retailers are urged to complete their registration for the show and SHOT Show University as soon as possible.
