BOZEMAN, Mont. (Ammoland.Com) – On the latest episode of Randy Newberg Unfiltered radio show, host Randy Newberg sits down with Charlie Decker and Bob Munson, founders of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) at the RMEF headquarters in Missoula, Montana.
The show is available now on RandyNewberg.Com, iTunes and Stitcher,
“Everyone knows me as an avid elk hunter. And of course I’ve been a member RMEF for a long, long time. I can’t tell you how much I looked forward to sitting down with Charlie and Bob at the headquarters of RMEF – going back in time to how they started the organization 31 years ago and learning what they gave up, what they endured to make RMEF what it is today,” said Newberg.
Newberg talks with Munson and Decker more on their first land management project, why Bugle magazine is the cornerstone of RMEF, and how to manage an organization with 205,000 members with more than 11,000 volunteers. Plus, they talk about the triumphs of elk re-introduction and how $1 billion has been used for on-the-ground projects.
