USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Decorated Marine Veteran and one tough guy he is a living example of dedication and will power. He is also one of the few Gun Store Owners in the USA that is African American with a FFL (Federal Firearms License)

The Few The Proud Amory………..

An avid gun enthusiast and marine corps veteran, Sharod Edwards began to pursue his passion for firearms after he was injured in his elite unit, where he served for 11 years. He was consistent in developing his armory skills even while working in a corporate setting for a short stint after his military retirement. As he purchased guns, Mr. Edwards noticed that his local gun shops were charging its customers a significantly higher price than necessary.

Through a realization that his passion was in the expertise of gun use and safety, he decided to invest in what he enjoyed. “If I own a gun store I can charge what I want and I don’t have to be mad at the next man for charging 30% more than they should charge.”

When asked about the source of his passion, Mr. Edwards explained that “Living in the projects as a kid you either get one [a gun] or you’d be on the other end of one.”

There is a strong reality that disenfranchised minorities are drawn to gun possession due to their environment and need to feel protected. In recognition of this reality, Mr. Edwards developed a genuine interest and desire to provide effective firearms education and training in order to help direct people to safely and legally carry firearms. “Not looking at how much we’re making or how much it’ll cost”, Mr. Edwards finds importance in his mission to serve people at a reasonable price.

The Few The Proud gets it’s name from the Marine Corps.

“Not many of us that do what I do, so there are literally the few and the proud. Only a few can say they’ve stepped out into entrepreneurship and say they’re successful.” At his shop, you will receive “individual and intentional service where you will be taught how to properly operate your gun and make sure you know how to carry it properly and safely.”

While facing obstacles as a new business owner, Mr. Edwards is able to overcome the challenge of finding work/life balance by implementing a cutoff time in order to cater only to his wife and children. He finds value in having a dedicated community of people that can step in and help with family and/or work when the two conflict.

While being the “new kid on the block” he has come to realize that gun ownership is not widely accepted everywhere. He is motivated to keep going by his faith and family. His knowledge, skill, and passion make Sharod Edwards a meritable business owner and ideal person to shop with if ever in the market to purchase a legal, and reasonably priced firearm.

“I don’t forget about those guys that I served with and their support allows me to be a part of the few the proud.”
