SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -(Ammoland.com)- In their continuing effort to support the law enforcement community, Randy Lee, president and CEO of Apex Tactical Specialties, presented a check for $15,000 to representatives of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) during COPS Walk Southwest this past Saturday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The donation, made on behalf of Apex and its employees, is the second by the company since the launch of its Thin Blue Line Series of triggers and brings the company’s total contribution in support for the families of fallen officers to $30,000.

Apex raised the money through the sale of their Thin Blue Line Series of triggers which they launched on October 31, 2016.

The company dedicates 25 percent from each sale to C.O.P.S. Earlier this year, during the 2017 Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, Lee, along with Apex Vice President and co-owner Scott Folk, presented C.O.P.S. with the first installment from their fundraising efforts.

“We are so grateful for our new partnership with Apex Tactical Specialties. The support and generosity they’ve exhibited to the families of fallen officers has been truly humbling. It is only through the support of companies like Apex that we are able to continue to help rebuild shattered lives. Thank you for your support,” said Dianne Bernhard, executive director of C.O.P.S.

“It is a tremendous honor to represent the employees of Apex and present this second check for $15,000 to Concerns of Police Survivors. We are all so very aware of the tremendous sacrifices being made by those in law enforcement, particularly those making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. To be in a position to aid those families, through the great work being done by C.O.P.S., gives us great pride and we hope to make more contributions like this one in the future,” said Lee.

C.O.P.S., a nationally recognized and highly respected law enforcement support organization, offers programs for survivors, including the National Police Survivors’ Conference, which is held each May during National Police Week. C.O.P.S. also offers scholarships and peer-support at the national, state, and local levels; the “C.O.P.S. Kids” counseling reimbursement program; and the “C.O.P.S. Kids” Summer Camp. “C.O.P.S. Teens” offers an Outward Bound experience for young adults.
