Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- As reported Monday, the New Jersey Senate voted on SCR 149 without notice and without language being posted for the public to review.  The Senate approved the measure on a largely partisan 21-16 vote.

This resolution would support a legal challenge to the executive action announced by Gov. Chris Christie last week when he finalized the adoption of rules governing issuance of concealed carry and the “justifiable need” standard.

Tomorrow, the Assembly is going to have a floor vote on ACR 234.

It’s imperative that you contact your Assembly members and respectfully ask them to oppose this legislative attack on concealed carry.

We have fought for concealed carry reform in New Jersey for years, and we want to send a strong message to the Legislature that this issue is one of the most important Second Amendment issues.  It’s time for New Jersey to join the large majority of other states which recognize their citizens’ basic fundamental right to self-defense.

The executive action by Gov. Christie was an important incremental step toward reversing the injustices that New Jersey gun owners have suffered at the hands of anti-gun politicians in Trenton.

Now is the time to make our voices heard louder than ever.

Please contact your Assembly members immediately and request they vote “NO” on ACR 234.
