Doylestown, Pa. –-(Ammoland.com)- The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) is proud to announce registration is open for its Law Enforcement Legal Defense Symposium, to be held June 20 – 21, 2017 at the Hilton Houston North in Houston, Texas.
The symposium will be co-hosted by the Houston Police Department and will cover many use-of-force and legal issues in today’s law enforcement environment. This symposium is designed for police defense attorneys, officers, deputies, agents, supervisors, commanders, risk managers and anyone responsible for the oversight of law enforcement in legal challenges.
Topics to be covered include:
Nationally known police defense attorneys and use-of-force experts, including Jamie Borden, Eric Daigle, Norman Giles and William Helfand, will speak about their experiences in defending law enforcement. These speakers will discuss current case law, pitfalls to avoid and techniques that will assist in obtaining a positive outcome for your personnel, team and agency during litigation.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how case law impacts both training management and tactical operations. In addition, for those who would like to attend, a live demonstration of equipment and tactics used in incident resolution will be conducted by the Houston Police Department’s SWAT team.
