(Before It's News)

Hello, Patriots,

Judging by all the questions I’ve received regarding last night’s speaker, Virginia Prodan, I’d say she was a pretty big hit!

Many of you are wanting to see if your churches, your kids’ schools, youth groups, etc, can schedule her to come speak.  Her testimony about life under communism, her strong faith that got her through (including leading her would-be assassin to Christ!), and her awareness of the similarities between where America is today and where Romania was just prior to becoming Communist, make her presentation a must-hear for all Americans!  She is able to tailor it towards various groups, as needed (for example, toning down the stories of faith for secular groups).

We did not videotape last night’s meeting, but here’s a 9-minute You Tube video of her speaking elsewhere.  Perhaps you can share it with others, including those who you approach to schedule her as a speaker.

Bio -

Virginia Prodan is an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund.  She founded her own law firm, Virginia Prodan Law Firm, in 2005, and works on immigration law cases.

Prior to founding her own law firm, she worked as a licensed attorney in Bucharest, Romania for 10 years. Virginia Prodan was born and raised in a non-Christian home. In Romania, after she accepted Christ, she defended churches and individuals against the country’s religious and human rights persecution during the communist regime of the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Many of the human rights and religious cases she defended were broadcast on Radio Voice of America, Free Europe and published in newspapers like the Christian Science Monitor. These cases were also featured in the United Nation reports and the U.S. Department of State reports on violations of human rights during the regime. Because her work was considered “dissident activity”, the Romanian Secret Police, Securitate, used every possible means of intimidation, house arrest, interrogating her, searching her house and office daily, even threatening to kill her or her family.

Exiled from Romania, her passion for working on religious liberty cases brought her to the U. S. in the late 80s. Virginia Prodan received both her Master of Laws and Juris Doctor degrees from Southern Methodist University – S. M. U., Dedman Law School, graduating in the top of her class in both degrees. While at S.M.U., she served as a congresswoman for the law school and president of the LL.M. International Society. In addition, she was involved in numerous legal and honor societies. Virginia Prodan is also licensed in the Northern District of Texas and Colorado.

Virginia Prodan interned at the Institute for Justice in Washington, D.C. and at the U.S. Federal District Court Northern District of Texas for Judge Sidney Fitzwater. She also served as an adjunct professor at El Centro College and as an attorney with Liberty Legal Institute in Dallas.

Virginia Prodan has been featured and is frequently invited as a guest speaker in local and national media such as the GBTV – Glenn Beck Program, Dallas Eagle Forum, the Christian Science Monitor, the Fox and ABC affiliates, Dallas Morning News, WFAA TV Channel 8, Dallas Eagle Forum, PCRW – Park Cities Republican Women, KCBI–Dallas 90.9, KRLD-Dallas 1080, KDKR 91.3 FM, Point of View Talk Show, Family Net Radio, Roaring Lambs Ministry-Amplify your Faith Speaker, Joy TV. Among her appearances, she has spoken at the Metroplex Mission with Billy Graham, American Tract Society, and she is regularly invited to speak at Dallas Bar Association, Josh McDowell Ministry, Business Women for Success, S.M.U. Dedman Law School, FOCUS at First Baptist Church, Texas Wesleyan School of Law, E.D.S., Christian Lawyers Fellowship, First Baptist Academy, and many schools, companies and churches in the Dallas area and other cities in U.S.

Virginia Prodan is a single mother of two girls and a son.
