Rick Perry dropped out of the GOP presidential race, but the Texas governor hasn’t abandoned his soapbox.
He’ll be delivering a Sunday sermon to the congregation of Skyline Wesleyan Church, with nearly 4,000 members, in La Mesa on Aug. 19 at 9 a.m. and again at 11 a.m.
He is friends with evangelical Skyline pastor Jim Garlow, no stranger to political activism. But there’s an ulterior motive for Perry’s visit.
He’s also coming to celebrate the birthday of his daughter, Sydney, currently living in San Diego and seriously dating Brett Harrison, a Navy SEAL based in Coronado.
