Noisy Room: The Entire Obama Campaign in 1 Cartoon

Via Doug Ross: Truly Terrifying Quote o’ the Day: Obama: “A New Vision Of An America In Which Prosperity Is Shared”

“Too many folks still don’t have a sense that tomorrow will be better than today. And so, the question in this election is which way do we go?” President Obama asked at a fundraiser in Chicago on Sunday.

Do we go forward towards a new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared?” Obama asked. “Or do we go backward to the same policies that got us in the mess in the first place?”

Got that? Not earned, shared. Like Rainbowfish – shares his shiny scales. Capitalism is outmoded and doesn’t work. Collectivism is the way “forward”.

Yea, Obama! Middle-class taxpayers will pay a mere 50 percent of their income in taxes next year!

Only 11% of Americans believe that Communism is morally superior to the American system of politics and economics. So every time Obama allows his mask to slip, he turns off more voters.

More from the same awful speech in IA: Oops! Obama Goes Off TelePrompter, Tells Audience: If You’re “Lucky Enough” You Make It to the Top 2% (Video):

Obama tells a Council Bluffs, Iowa crowd, “If you’re lucky enough… You make it to the upper 2%.”

Larry Johnson sets up Obama’s next FUBAR moment in Iowa: Obama, Leads with His Chin:

Clearly, Obama does not know a damn thing about fighting. One of the key rules of fight club, “DON’T LEAD WITH YOUR CHIN.” Why? If you move your face towards your opponent’s on rushing fist and it connects with your chin–lights out.

That’s exactly what Obama did today (thanks harp2 for the tip). Obama tried to play “gangsta” and shoved his mug towards Ryan. Boom. Down goes Obama. Down goes Obama:

Gateway Pundit: FAIL. Obama Slams Paul Ryan For Not Passing Farm Bill That He Passed 2 Weeks Ago (Video):

Obama blasted Paul Ryan for not passing a farm bill to help suffering farmers in Iowa.
Um… Paul Ryan and House Republicans passed the farm bill two weeks ago.
But, since when did facts matter?

But as a commenter at No Quarter wisely noted:

…i think the Obama campaign actually has decided to embrace a tactic of out and out lying. from Orwell’s novel, 1984:

“… To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies—all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.”

Anyone who has been studying the campaign’s tactics – hell – Obama’s tactics since the last campaign would have to agree. His total contempt for the American electorate is on display every single damn day. He and his surrogates knows their lies will be believed by the drones – the rest of us they don’t care about – and he also knows the MSM will, for most part, give them a pass.

I say, for the most part - that means not everyone, every time. Every once in a while,  Obama, or more likely one of his surrogates will be called out, and that’s always good for laughs…

Guy Benson, Townhall: Brutal: CNN Torches DWS on Medicare Falsehoods:

Let me say this right up front: Congratulations to Wolf Blitzer for being a relentless, responsible journalist. If you value the truth, this interview is a pleasure to watch.  If you have even an ounce of human compassion for the in-over-her-head target of Blitzer’s inquisition, it’s positively brutal:

Watch the video, and read Guy’s excellent commentary at the link.

Ben Shapiro of Big Journalism shows how the MSM runs interference for their chosen candidate: CBS’ Schieffer Redacts Vital Ryan Interview Clip:

Last night, newly-selected debate moderator Bob Shieffer of CBS featured Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan on 60 Minutes. The interview was fine, except for one small portion – a portion Schieffer and the folks at CBS left on the cutting-room floor in order to avoid making Ryan sympathetic.

Ryan, who has become a Democratic target for his plan to revamp Medicare for future benefit recipients, has a mother in Florida who is on Medicare. Obviously, he doesn’t want to end Medicare as we know it – he wants to maintain it for the future. Here’s what Ryan said – and what CBS News cut out of the interview:

My mom is a Medicare senior in Florida. Our point is we need to preserve their benefits, because government made promises to them that they’ve organized their retirements around. In order to make sure we can do that, you must reform it for those of us who are younger. And we think these reforms are good reforms, that have bipartisan origins. They started from the Clinton commission in the late ’90s.

That’s about as egregious a cut as you can make in politics. It’s the equivalent of failing to inform viewers that Bill Clinton grew up poor in Arkansas, or Barack Obama was raised by his grandparents. These are vital biographical details that go to the motivation of political actors. Ryan isn’t out of touch with seniors. He’s fully in touch with them, as evidenced by his mom. The media just doesn’t want anybody to know about it.

The Daily Caller: Biden campaigns before a crowd of 660 in North Carolina:

Vice President Joe Biden spoke before a crowd of 660 people in Durham, N.C., at the Durham Armory during a campaign stop for President Barack Obama on Monday.

Biden’s appearance before a comparatively meager crowd came a day after the newly formed Republican ticket — presidential candidate Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan — rallied a crowd of over 10,000 in High Point, N.C., about an hour away, and a crowd of approximately 4,700 people in Mooresville, N.C., about two-and-a-half hours away.

GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney drew so many people to a St. Augustine, Florida rally that hundreds were unable to be admitted when the screeners couldn’t process them fast enough. And even better, Romney is hitting President Obama hard on Medicare:”The president’s idea for instance for Medicare was to cut it by $700 billion dollars,” Romney said. “That’s not the right answer. We want to make sure we preserve and protect Medicare.”

Here’s what we know about the hecklers:

The protest was organized by Iowa Citizens For Community Improvement, a  Marxist group in the state that also  heckled Mitt Romney at last year’s Iowa State Fair. Iowa CCI counts among its “friends and allies”, National People’s Action, a Chicago-based Alinskyite community-organizing group dedicated to “progressive social change” and “economic and racial justice;” and  Center for Community Change, a non profit organization that recruits and trains activists to lead political-issue campaigns.

Iowa CCI is also among the cabal of  far left groups that endorsed Van Jones and Move On’s “Spring Offensive”, earlier this year.

The activists plan to disrupt shareholder meetings of Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and 30 other large corporations. They also plan to conduct “actions” against education lender Sallie Mae and businesses they accuse of profiting from student indebtedness. Their strategy is remarkably similar to the subversive plan pushed by SEIU’s Stephen Lerner that aims to destroy the nation’s financial system.

***

The training session is also endorsed by small-c communist Heather Booth’s Midwest Academy and by Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement. Iowa CCI is the Marxist group whose members screamed at Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney at the Iowa State Fair last August. (The group is part of a larger Saul Alinsky-inspired organizing network called National People’s Action.)

These were, without a doubt, active members of the organized left who disrupted Paul Ryan, today,  in service to the Community Organizer in Chief.

Seton Motley, Big Government: Romney-Ryan a Pro-Technology, Pro-Consumer Presidential Ticket:

The Tech sector had been for years – pre-President Barack Obama – a jobs creation machine.  Why? Because it was almost totally regulation-free.

President Obama is proactively, illegally ending that.

The President has via unlawful Executive fiats imposed on the Tech sector a huge, all-encompassing new uber-regulation – Network Neutrality – and a whole host of others large and small.

As a result, the Tech sector has been hemorrhaging jobs at a rapidly accelerating rate.

Overall unemployment under President Obama peaked at 10% in October 2009, and dropped slowly to settle at a still egregious 8.3% for most of 2012.

Tech sector job losses have, however, accelerated dramatically as the Obama illegal regulatory regime has taken firmer hold.

Tech Layoffs Hit 3-year High of 51,529 in First Half of 2012

The more Obama we get, the worse it is for the Tech sector.

Romney, meanwhile, has long been campaigning on deregulation.  He’s a businessman – he knows how damaging overregulation is.  And Ryan’s budget is, amongst other helpful things, decidedly deregulatory.

Romney-Ryan will bring gigs back to the Tech sector.  At the very least, they will not actively, serially attack it a la the current Administration.

[As to actual votes: Congressman Ryan voted to undo President Obama’s Net Neutrality power grab.  And he voted against the overly broad, overreaching Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA).]

Jeffrey Lord, The American Spectator: Why Ryan Terrifies The Left:

Paul Ryan terrifies the American Left.

Which precisely explains the tones of hysteria coming from the Obama White House.

The real question is why the Chicago Thugs have suffered such a public meltdown over Mitt Romney’s choice of the young Wisconsin Congressman to be his vice-presidential running mate.

And there is an answer. Three specific answers, actually.

• Ronald Reagan: President Reagan today is an American hero. Poll after poll has Americans placing him in the pantheon of great American presidents, and occasionally at the top of the list.

The admiration for Reagan has become such a part of American historical bedrock that even President Obama and likeminded professional leftists have essentially given up the ghost. When they mention Reagan at all, it is generally to play a sly game of casting Reagan as a moderate, pretending to salute him while taking a shot at some Republican for not being more like Reagan. Obama played this game four times in one speech back in April, effusively praising Reagan while casting Mitt Romney as some sort of wild-eyed extremist.

No one is fooled.

Keith Koffler, WHD: Paul Ryan, King of the Reagan Babies:

Obama’s spin doctors are salivating at the chance to dissect Ryan’s conservative record and politically disembowel him with it.

But they don’t understand that Ryan’s conservatism is not going to hurt him anymore than Ronald Reagan’s did in 1980. Bearing, like Reagan, a specific plan of action for difficult times, Ryan may be just the man to ride his conservatism straight into the West Wing.

Because Ryan is the king of the Reagan babies. The one that most resembles dad.

Big Government: Brock Oppo File on Ryan: The Cure for Insomnia:

I literally fell asleep while reading David Brock’s opposition research file on Paul Ryan, the Republican candidate for Vice President. The 290-page media cheat sheet, prepared by Brock’s super PAC, American Bridge 21st Century, and released on the Internet so that the Obama campaign could borrow from it without coordinating with the super PAC (wink, wink), is not just boring, but a giant failure, except as a cure for insomnia.

On to the Obamacrats’ culture of corruption…

Quin Hillyer, The American Spectator: Holder’s Perez: Perjury on Panthers?

Late last month, the Obama/Holder Justice Department suffered another embarrassment, and showed that its leaders probably merit criminal prosecution, in a too-little-noticed spin-off from the infamous New Black Panther Party case. As I have written repeatedly, the politicized leadership of the Holderites is thoroughly corrupt, and a menace to the very cause of justice.

The embarrassment came in the final court action of a long-running suit brought by the indefatigable Judicial Watch. The watchdog group had pressed requests based on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to force the Department of Justice (DoJ) to divulge more information about its seemingly inexplicable, and certainly unexplained, decision to drop voter-intimidation cases against the Panthers for their actions outside of a Philadelphia polling place in 2008. As it has done in numerous other instances, the Obama administration stonewalled, claimed spurious “privileges” against disclosure, and prevaricated wildly through its embarrassingly unprofessional press office and via sworn testimony by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez. Yet Judicial Watch prevailed in part, even against a none-too-friendly judge, thus forcing the release of some of the withheld records.

The latest ruling from federal district judge Reggie Walton involved Judicial Watch’s request for the government to pay its attorneys’ fees as a result of Judicial Watch’s partial win. The judge agreed that the government ought to be liable for at least some of those fees. In doing so, he wrote the following passages, which would be deeply embarrassing for any administration with the grace to feel embarrassment, especially if an establishment media weren’t pathetically in the pocket of said administration:

Keep reading. It’s just another reminder, if any were needed of the migraine inducing corruption we have been living under and will continue to live under if the leader of this criminal cabal is reelected, this November.

The Daily Caller: Blatantly Political’ Ill. state workers forced to attend Pelosi, Jackson Jr. event on taxpayer dime

Documents and a whistle-blower affidavit obtained by The Daily Caller charge that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., and Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., participated in an unethical — and possibly illegal — effort to force 76 employees of an Illinois state agency to engage in political activity on the taxpayers’ dime.

According to the whistle-blower, Rev. Jackson also encouraged the government employees to load first-generation and low-income college students up with student loan debt — because Democrats in Congress, he allegedly promised, would eventually pass laws to forgive that debt later. “[T]hose people will continue to vote Democratic,” Jackson Sr. said, according to the whistle-blower.

The Washington Free Beacon: Former Obama Adviser Takes the Fifth, Former trade adviser and Democratic donor allegedly involved in an illicit gold deal:

A former Obama administration trade adviser accused of plotting to purchase $10 million in gold from a Congolese warlord refused to detail his role in the illegal plot, invoking the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times during confidential court testimony, according to documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

President Obama tapped oil mogul Kase Lawal, a prolific Democratic bundler and Clinton family confidante, to serve as a member of the White House’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations in 2010. Lawal’s name no longer appears on the website.

Soon after his appointment, court documents allege, Lawal became entangled in a plot to purchase nearly 2,500 pounds of Congolese gold from Gen. Bosco Ntaganda, a rebel commander who has been linked by the International Criminal Court to ethnic massacres and rapes.

Byron York: When 1,099 Felons Vote In A Race Won By 312 Ballots:

In the eyes of the Obama administration, most Democratic lawmakers and left-leaning editorial pages across the country, voter fraud is a problem that doesn’t exist. Allegations of fraud, they say, are little more than pretexts conjured up by Republicans to justify voter ID laws designed to suppress Democratic turnout.

That argument becomes much harder to make after reading a discussion of the 2008 Minnesota Senate race in “Who’s Counting?”, a new book by conservative journalist John Fund and former Bush Justice Department official Hans von Spakovsky. Although the authors cover the whole range of voter fraud issues, their chapter on Minnesota is enough to convince any skeptic that there are times when voter fraud not only exists but can be critical to the outcome of an important race.

In the ’08 campaign, Republican Sen. Norm Coleman was running for re-election against Democrat Al Franken. It was impossibly close; on the morning after the election, after 2.9 million people had voted, Coleman led Franken by 725 votes.

Franken and his Democratic allies dispatched an army of lawyers to challenge the results. After the first canvass, Coleman’s lead was down to 206 votes. That was followed by months of wrangling and litigation. In the end, Franken was declared the winner by 312 votes. He was sworn into office in July 2009, eight months after the election.

It was a slow motion train wreck – a horror that you knew was going to end badly the longer they dragged it out. The only reason the 2000 Presidential election didn’t have a similar outcome is because the Supreme Court mercifully put a stop to it.

Big Government: 74% of Americans Support Voter ID Laws:

Yesterday, the Washington Post released a poll which found that 74% of American adults support the idea that voters should show a photo ID prior to voting. Keep in mind, the Post tried to game the results by framing the question as to whether you would support the requirement of an “official, government-issued” ID to vote. The intent of that questioning was to make the requirement seem like some special, extraordinary measure that would make voting harder.

Yet, the DOJ  is suing multiple states to block voter-ID laws favored by more than 74 percent of the public.

As Hillyer said in the link above, “these aren’t legitimate legal disputes; these are raw attempts to steal the election if it is close enough to be stolen.”
