In an interview with CNBC’s Larry Kudlow, tonight, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani suggested that Vice President Biden may be unfit for office. Via The Daily Caller, here’s the transcript from Biden’s speech in Danville, VA that many say went way over the line:

“Romney wants to, he said in the first 100 days, he’s gonna let the big banks again write their own rules — unchain Wall Street.”

“They’re going to put y’all back in chains,” he added, in a low, threatening voice.

Do people from Delaware generally say, “y’all”? Just wondering. Video here. Yes, there were some audible groans.

Giuliani told Kudlow:

Well, I think if it came from somebody serious maybe we’d get all excited about it. But the — I think the vice president of the United States has become a laugh line on late night television. I mean, he — I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. I mean, there’s a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright. He’s never been bright. He isn’t bright. And people think, ‘Well, he just talks a little too much.’ Actually he’s not very smart.

LOL, I  thoroughly enjoyed that.

On Hannity, Karl Rove said it was clearly “an appeal to racial unrest” in  the Southern part of VA that used to have plantations.
He suggested that it was put on the teleprompter to make the racial appeal.
Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter says the campaign has “no problem” with Vice President Joe Biden’s comments to about putting people back in chains.
If the Obama campaign doesn’t have a problem with this rhetoric, so let it become a regular part of Biden’s stump speech and see how far it goes. The American people are not stupid, Rove said.
From the Obama campaign: “For months, Speaker Boehner, Congressman Ryan, and other Republicans have called for the ‘unshackling’ of the private sector from regulations that protect Americans from risky financial deals and other reckless behavior that crashed our economy. Since then, the Vice President has often used a similar metaphor to describe the need to ‘unshackle’ the middle class. Today’s comments were a derivative of those remarks, describing the devastating impact letting Wall Street write its own rules again would have on middle class families. We find the Romney campaign’s outrage over the Vice President’s comments today hypocritical, particularly in light of their own candidate’s stump speech questioning the President’s patriotism. Now, let’s return to that ‘substantive’ debate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan promised 72 hours ago, but quickly abandoned.”
Really, it’s a distinction without a difference  – the Republicans want the to put historically oppressed people back in “shackles” instead of “chains.” Oh, that’s much better.
Sarah Palin just told Greta Van Sustern on her show,  that she thought the Obama campaign should replace Biden with Hillary Clinton, but that implies that Biden said something the campaign didn’t approve of.
There’s no doubt in my mind that someone from this race-baiting campaign put those words in Biden’s teleprompter to sow racial division. It’s a major part of their divide and conquer campaign strategy what something they’ve been doing all year. I stopped tracking the examples back in March after being overwhelmed with material. I’m just a one person operation, here.
…his people are going to raise the issue of race to a level this  country hasn’t seen since the Civil Rights movement.  White guilt got  Barack Obama the nomination.  White guilt got Barack Obama into the White House.  At least it was a big part of  it…
…they are not sure they can run on the economy by summer of 2012.   Motivation is way down – the people on the ground.  Many of them will be  sitting this one out.  The campaign conducted over five internals in the  last few months. Each time the one issue that came back favorably for the  president was the color of his skin.  People are not comfortable…white  people are not comfortable going against a person of color.  At least not a  whole lot of them.
Oh….I think 2012 is going to prove very differently for the Race-Baiter in Chief and his minions. I think there are going to be more than enough people who will be willing to kick Obama to the curb despite the color of his skin.
UPDATE:
Ha-ha…
(Why are we calling it  “gaffe”? Who said it was a gaffe? The Obama Camp had “no problem” with his words…)

The Obama campaign said Tuesday it is confident Vice President Biden will be an effective foil against GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan despite his latest gaffe.

(Damage control – it wasn’t a gaffe.)

Biden on Tuesday made headlines when he told a crowd here that the GOP ticket’s policies would put “y’all back in chains.” The remark was about Wall Street regulations, but the Romney campaign seized on the imagery of slavery to say Biden and Obama had hit a new low.

The unscripted comments highlighted Biden’s propensity for off-the-cuff statements —which at times have caused the White House embarrassment. But Biden aides say the occasional slip-ups are far outweighed by the positives that the vice president brings to the table.

“Vice President Biden has been the president’s partner and top surrogate on the campaign trail and no one is fighting harder to ensure the president is reelected in November,” a campaign official said. “He continues to travel across the country making the case for what’s truly at stake in this election and why President Obama is the right choice for middle class workers and their families.”
