Armed US Citizens… The Future of Terrorism
It seems the new concern of our great republic is the one who’s been here all along… the one who loves America but, is now very concerned for our future. US citizens are making preparations. They see terms like “fiscal cliff” and hear the mass media talk about “depression” and recession.” They have witnessed first hand the devastation left by violent storms and countries ravaged by war and want to be sure their family is protected at all cost. They want to be “preppers.” There is even a new popular reality show that depicts prepping as a norm and shows us all how to do it.
The scene below would make you think a bomb threat had occured or a dangerous criminal was shooting helpless victims at some distant college campus. FALSE! They, along with a tactical team numbering in the hundreds were merely executing a search warrant in Sharpsburg, MD.
Here is a letter written by an anonymous person who witnessed the events.
We the people of Sharpsburg, MD would like to make a statement about events in which occurred on Thursday, Nov. 29th. Our tiny town was invaded by 200+ state police, SWAT, FBI and border patrol agents. The residents communicated through social media and by stopping in the local gas station to find out that a manhunt was going on for a resident by the name of Terry Porter. He is a friend, a hard worker and a well liked person in Sharpsburg. We were all in shock. Rumors floated that he was making bombs in his underground shelter and we stood back and watched as the Boy Scout camp was overrun as a “staging area” for law enforcement. Cars that drove by reported camouflage, bullet proof vests, lots of high powered assault type guns, helicopters, and armored vehicles. Mills Rd. was completely shut down and children’s school buses, residents who lived in the area and family of the man being searched for were unable to access. Residents were told to remain indoors.
As the afternoon progressed, we wanted to help Terry. We overwhelmingly felt helpless that our friend was a victim somehow and that he did not deserve what was happening to him and his wife and children. Someone reported an excavator was traveling down the road followed by armored vehicles and that they were going to dig him out. Others reported seeing an armored tractor trailer followed by several armored vehicles and black police vans head toward Mills Rd . We were so scared for Terry and couldn’t imagine what his family must be thinking. Members of the community traveled down to Mills Rd. in an attempt to plead with the police presence to please let us talk with him and get him out safely. They said they trusted Terry and know he wouldn’t hurt anyone. Our attempts were denied and everyone who attempted was forced to leave. Those who were at the scene reported portable chemical showers in place and insane amounts of law officials.
As afternoon became night, social media became more active and we wanted to organize a group to go down and speak louder our feelings.About that time, the police pulled out and left. We were confused but relieved. They concluded that Terry wasn’t even home the entire time. They also said that his wife and children were. Family reported that the Porter home was ravaged and property destroyed. As they pulled out, we were all so thankful that a tragedy hadn’t occurred but became more angry of the excessive force used in this situation. The WHAG news reported that the police had called off their “manhunt” for the “potentially armed person” who is an “avid hunter” and a “survivalist.” They apparently had the opportunity to speak with many of the locals and mentioned on TV that Terry “sounds like a really nice guy.” That snippet has been deleted and now channel 7 news is reporting the same old rhetoric which makes Terry appear like a terrorist and a threat to society which is untrue. In fact, the only guns in the home were hunting rifles and shotguns like most of our small town who are full of “avid hunters” and whom are “potentially armed.” There were NO bombs or bomb making material. Terry had no plans of attacking or had threatened anyone. He does have an underground shelter that is no secret here in Sharpsburg. The last I checked that wasn’t illegal. He did have a felony conviction some 30 years ago which legally prevented him from owning any weapons so Terry was later charged with those crimes… after he turned himself in peacefully on Friday morning. The town is left with feeling helpless and angry after this whole mess. Hundreds of thousands of tax payers’ dollars were wasted. We, including Terry Porter, are hardworking people just trying to make ends meet. This was absolute overkill and totally wrong. The police had a search warrant and nothing else. They terrorized this town with their speeding trucks and armed troops and it’s a miracle a tragedy such as Waco or Ruby Ridge did not occur.

At what point do we stand up and say, Hey! This isn’t right! Someone could’ve been killed and demand to know who made this kind of call.. to stomp the ant with the sledge hammer? I’ll tell you when. When it happens to your neighbor or your family or your friend or you. We are taking a stand here in Sharpsburg. Similar situations are happening all over the country. I am sick of being labeled and accused and invaded. We have rights and the government is here for the people!! Let us never forget that.

Thanks for spreading the word. The people of the U.S need to bind together before the gov. snaps you like twigs one by one. This will continue. The squads used are high speed trigger happy shoot to kill types. Don’t give them a reason and they’ll bug out. Perhaps with a hint of humility.
NEWS FLASH: FBI=Federal Bullies Institute conduct raid on a big bad prepper….authorities say all the officers involved are really disappointed they did not get to send lead into their perpetrator but advised this operation was a great tool to send a message to anyone collecting firearms, ammo and has bunkers to other United States preppers, and at the same time we can tag anyone who looks or sounds aggressive towards the government. One officer stated: “I still got an adrenaline rush from this incident that felt good!” Authorities setup the man after a newboy corporal who just wants to make rank scammed the man into believing he could trust him and prodded for incriminating information that he could take back to his gestopo headquarters. Going on just information from one neighbor a huge bust was setup costing taxpayers a nice chunk of money from all the manpower, helicopter fuel and other costs for the raid…the head Incident commander running incident command stated in an interview: “We will conduct more warrants on 20 year old charges and look for anything possible to charge some of these preppers who are getting our commander and chief upset. Preppers need to realize we have better gear and our fascist leaders have instituted new laws that warrant these searches and arrests.
Terrorism is not the future — it is the present.
I would join Friends of Terry if for nothing more than to show my genuine support, but I am well aware that Facebook is nothing but a giant government surveillance system in its own right, and I don’t want to be a part of it. Not to rebuke you fine folks at all, but if you look into it, you will know that once your name is on Facebook, there is no longer anything about your life or the lives of anyone you know that is sacred any longer.
Facebook is only the beginning, and yet it is already too big and out of control to escape from. It always surprises me that survivalists and others critical of government tactics use Facebook so cavalierly. It is a dangerous tool of oppressive government. A standard web page is safer, and there are other ways to form groups than to bring it all together in one place with everyone else; it is just what the oppressors want to make surveillance easy peasy for them.
I abhor that this is happening, and that your town was terrorized. I only hope and pray that Terry’s family has survived emotionally. I am heartened that his neighbors are friends and caring individuals willing to fight for the rights of others. Keep it up, don’t stop, stick together, no matter what.
If they use Facebook for their people to watch I am on several. I am a Veteran, have purchased over ten firearms in the last five years, own an “assault rifle” and semiautomatic pistols, shotgun, and rifle. I purchase ammunition in bulk for cheaper and reload on a regular basis. I have open land with security lights and motion sensor cameras, for game of course. I have a bunker built there and I live within ten feet of it. I have a safe room as well. I don’t care about what they think, I live in the middle of tornado alley so the bunker and high tech gear is because of my concern about them.
It seems Democrats always overreact to local things and tend to ignore the big picture. Ruby Ridge and Waco were both under a Democrat President who’s Attorney General was incompetent

This is the problem. The town couldn’t round up a 1000 citizens with guns and confront the police to stand down? It will take that kind of back bone and organization to stop the tide of facism building in this country.
does anyone remember the Nazis? The ‘Patriot Act’ has taken your rights and you will never get them back. Under the guise of fighting terrorism they went to war and now the people suffer. Remember America…you have NO RIGHTS at all. They can take you and hold you without justification and keep you as long as they want without charges or evidence of any wrong doing. If someone does speak out against the government they are labelled as unAmerican. Where is the land of the free?
