Ricin sent to Senator intercepted

Politico reports that an envelope sent to Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi has tested positive for ricin.

The ricin-positive envelope was intercepted at the Senate’s off-site mail facility in Washington DC.

Wicker has represented Mississippi in the Senate since December 2007. During his time in the Senate, Wicker has championed the reduction of spending, limits to “federal overreach”, and encouraged  a strong national defense for the United States.
