Given how diabolical ISIS has shown itself to be, allegations that they may be harvesting organs to help drive their terror operations comes as no great shock.
Iraq’s Ambassador to the U.N., Mohamed Alhakim, on Tuesday asked the U.N. Security Council to look into claims that ISIS is killing people and harvesting their organs which are then sold to help fund its jihad.
According the above CNN report the organs are said to be sold on the European black market.
The Iraqi Ambassador stated that over the past several weeks, bodies with surgical incisions and missing kidneys or other body parts have been found in shallow mass graves says news.com.au.
“We have bodies. Come and examine them,” he said, referring to the U.N. Security Council.
“It is clear they are missing certain parts.”
Ambassador Alhakim also stated that a dozen doctors had been “executed” by ISIS in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul for refusing to partake in organ harvesting.
The U.N. says they are going to investigate the claims but a British diplomat is on record saying there was no proof or evidence of Ambassador Alhakim’s claim.
But organ harvesting is no myth.
Nancy Scheper-Hughes, director of Organs Watch, a University of California, Berkeley-based documentation and research project, told CNN that such incidences of organ harvesting is widespread.
“Organ theft during wars, civil wars, dirty wars, wars involving undisciplined armies is not uncommon,” Scheper-Hughes said.
I had heard of earlier reports in December of allegations of ISIS killing people for their bodily organs.
It’s a horror story, one that also reminds me of the reports of state run organ harvesting in China.
