Illustrating the insidious reach and influence of “Big Pharma,” Jim covers the rollout of Julia; the first autistic muppet featured on the long-running children’s show, Sesame Street.
Dave follows on a somewhat positive note, as he spotlights the recent acquittal of Ron and Rand Paul’s political adviser, Jesse Benton. The charge, which Ron Paul said is to undermine his son’s presidential campaign, was a single count of lying to the FBI.
Rounding out the broadcast, Jim reports on the fact that banks are rejecting cash deposits, and may impose an all-out ban on cash in the near future.
Lastly, Dave closes the show with a glimpse into the twisted, deranged mind of those who run MTV as he highlights their desire to see parents who dress their children in offensive Halloween costumes (geisha girl, a sheik, a Native America) should be killed in violent car accidents and then “be rescued by a black EMT”. Thanks MTV, you can’t make this stuff up.
