BREAKING NEWS: 3 Women Suicide Bombers Kill Dozens In Lake Chad

Women are jumping to the forefront of terrorism. In this latest suicide, three women killed themselves and 27 other people in Lake Chad — a region in the sub-Saharan country Chad— and injured at least 90 others. The women detonated their bombs at a local market for maximum damage.

There is concern whether or not the Christmas party massacre in San Bernardino occurred as a result of the radicalization of Tashfeen Malik, then her husband Syed Farook. Tashfeen posted a pledge of allegiance to ISIS in the midst of the attack. Here are some other recentkillings involving women:
- Tashfeen Malik and her husband killed 14 people in San Bernardino.
- In a raid after the Paris attacks, a woman detonated explosives as police moved in, killing herself and a police dog.
- Less than a month ago, Russia revealed that female suicide bombers had planned to smuggle explosives in hand cream in a Sochi Olympics plot.
- A 14-year-old girl blew herself up at a mosque in Cameroon, Nov. 9, killing four. A second female suicide bomber was stopped.
- Another women-led suicide bombing killed three people in Chad on Nov. 9.
The Lake Chad region is currently under a state of emergency. This attack took place on the island of Koulfoua. Lake Chad consists of a swampy maze of islands and that has made it a primary target of the military group, Boko Haram, an Islamist terrorist group. The swamp provides numerous hiding spots and egress waterways.
Amnesty International says that 3,500 people have been killed in this area so far in 2015. Boko Haram has killed nearly 17,000 people since 2009, when they began trying to impose Islamist rule in Northern Nigeria. Amnesty International says that Boko Haram:
“[…] continues to pose significant threat to the lives of civilians on an almost daily basis across northeast Nigeria and to the neighboring countries Cameroon, Chad and Niger.”
It should come as no surprise that women are capable of murder. We can look to our own history for many examples. source
