Terrorist Activity! There’s more than Just Cell Phones and Propane Tanks…Who’s Sounding the Alarm?

If you’re feeling less than secure these days, due to probable terrorist activity, in various places in the U.S., there’s good reason. Let’s review, just a bit, how the present administration is setting the public up for catastrophic harm.
Six months, after the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City and various places on the east coast, the Bush administration developed a Terror Alert System and regularly issued updates depending on chatter uncovered by CIA/FBI and activity around the world. It worked like this.
It was pretty straight forward and easy for the public to understand. Between 2002 and 2006 the Bush administration issued at least 16 terror alerts with corresponding descriptions of the threat level. For example:
September 10, 2002 – Raised from Yellow to Orange

From the White House: The U.S. intelligence community has received information, based on debriefings of a senior al Qaeda operative, of possible terrorists attacks timed to coincide with the anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the United States. Information indicates that al Qaeda cells have been established in several South Asian countries in order to conduct car-bomb and other attacks on U.S. facilities. These cells have been accumulating explosives since approximately January of 2002, this year, in preparation for these attacks.
You knew who picked up the alerts, what the nature of the alerts were and how long the alert was in effect.
It is significant to note that while there were a number of killings by muslims documented as far back as 1972, in each president’s term of office since that time, there was only 1 mass terror attack in Montgomery, Maryland, resulting in 5 American deaths, on American soil, while George Bush was in the White House, through both of his two terms.
In April of 2011, the Obama administration changed the system.

- Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano announces the implementation of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS)—a robust terrorism advisory system that provides timely information to the public about credible terrorist threats and replaces the former color-coded alert system.
And since its change, the Obama administration has issued NO terrorist alerts. Keep in mind, the Fort Hood Terrorist Attack in 2009, the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013, Chattanooga Strip Mall in 2015 killing 5, and the San Bernardino Attacks, killing 14 and injuring 17. No chatter, no red flags on social media, no nothing. No alerts, until the attack in Paris, in November of 2015, and at that time, the alert was a world wide travel alert for U.S. citizens, after the fact.
Since the San Bernardino Terrorist attack, there has been a lot of buzz in main stream media as well as in new media and on social media. Finally the populace is connecting the dots, speculating and putting the pieces together, not waiting for Uncle Sam to do it for them. While it took days for the Obama administration to admit the incident was not work place violence and in fact a terror attack by Islamic extremists, everyone else in the country was connecting the dots and with no official terror alerts from the government.
And, by-the-way, DHS announces yet another security system to be put in place.
The midwest has been at the center of a great deal of this new terrorist activity speculation. And, again, keep in mind, to date, there have been no terrorist alerts by the Obama administration in lieu of the following discoveries. (Discoveries, I might add, which were reported, in large part, by new media.)
Over the last week, TPN Media, and other media outlets, have reported on the large number of cell phones being bought by “foreign speaking” men in Walmarts across the state of Missouri. Within a day, there were reports of dozens of propane tanks being stolen from a couple of different locations in the Kansas City area. And TPN Media exclusively reported that “foreign speaking men” were trying to buy guns, ammo and tactical gear under the table, for 2 to 3 times their value in the St. Louis area.
The following weekend, new media resurrected under reported a story, from October of 2015, by local television affiliates that explosives were found buried in southern Missouri’s Mark Twain National Forest. The explosives were detonated by nearby army personnel and nothing was said of the matter again, until the cell phones and propane tanks made news in December of 2015.
Later the same weekend, four South Carolina men, some with islamic names, were caught stealing $5000 in plumbing supplies.
Additionally, here’s one in the Chicago area, that you may have not heard about!
ABC7Chicago: U.S. intelligence officials intercepted messages that terror suspects may have planned attacks in Chicago, Toronto and Geneva.
Federal law enforcement officials in Chicago said Friday afternoon that they are aware of reports overseas that Chicago is among several North American cities named by Islamic radicals as targets of future attacks.
Chicago, three Canadian cities and Geneva, the second largest city in Switzerland, are all targets, according to jihadists now being tracked by authorities in Europe.
European law enforcement officials are looking for four men as the terror threat level in Geneva was raised and security on the streets is visibly tightened.
Again, no national terror alerts issued by the Obama administration, even though the Swiss were beefing up their security and issuing alerts. In the same posting the message is ‘Nothing to see here, move along.’
Terrorism security expert Jeff Cramer, of Kroll Global Security, said the question is: When does a threat become a credible threat?
“We don’t if the chatter that we’re hearing is real enough that Chicago should take any precautions, but logic would say that if the Swiss are doing something, the Canadian law enforcement is doing something, the chances are that the federal government, the federal law enforcement, the local law enforcement here is also reacting accordingly,” said Cramer, a former federal prosecutor.
The only real action coming from our own government has been this:
“Residents should always remain vigilant, and you see something, say something.“
And so, it appears that the Obama administration has no real desire to provide for the common defense. ISIS is here, in America and it’s going to be up to you, not the Obama administration, to protect yourself, family, community. Blatant disregard for the facts that stream across the world, and at home, are being ignored by the force that is constitutionally bound to protect its citizens. I don’t know many who will sleep well at night with that knowledge, but there comes a time when you can no longer leave your security in the hands of others.
