  • LOL! Mexico has been dangerous, like FOREVER!! Even my dad knew about it decades ago and warned me about it.

  • Boo

When an airline stewardess friend of mine told me 13 years ago … “you’d be surprised how many young students we bring back on our planes in coffin’s, if parents knew …no parent would let their children take a spring break in Mexico”,… That’s all it took for me. Only spring breaks inside the borders of the US and Canada were allowed.

    • Mexico should have been bombed before the Middle East.

  • BULL$HIT, I have now lived in Mexico for 11 years you have a better chance of being struck by lightening than being a victum of a violent crime. If one is not involved with drugs the crime rate of Americans would drop to O. I have a motorhome and have traveled through the states of Michoacan, Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, Guerrero, the Yucatan, Baja, Sanora and the border states have never once felt as though I was in danger or have seen these so called road blocks. Funny in an R V park you meet people from all over the world none have ever mentioned a road block. So vacation in the U S and spend 4 times the money. Two things that should be considered. 1. The state dept wants you to spend your money inside the U S as the economy is for $hit. 2. Cartel members are warned with the threat of death if they are involved with attacking Americans or Canadiens. Everyone that posted a comment was told how dangerous Mexico is yet none have lived in Mexico. My dad told me, a stewardes told me I have personal experience and been vacationing in Mexico for over 25 years and lived for 11. One would think would hear of see this crime. The only thing this type of nonsense does is keep people from experiencing one of the most beautiful countries I have been to and I have been to plenty. Talk about fake news you just got some from Dave. Right now I am in a R V park outside Tequila on the way to the Puerta Vallerta 4 other R V’s are here all from Canada we all find this type report very amusing. I would rather be here than Chicagowhere the crime rate per 100,000 is twice as high.

    • you’re right. I just got back from Puerto Vallerta on Saturday. One of the most beautiful parts of the country I have ever seen. Even traveling in from the coast to the inner cities, I never sensed any danger. All the locals are just trying to make a living, like everyone else is the world for that matter. Most of the people there are disgruntled about the price for fuel, which we all can relate to at one time or another. Only one person was curious about my political views in this country- which I just ignored because I’m on vacation to get away from politics and the last thing I want to do is spend hours trying to convince one Mexican the truth about the media & politics.
