In 1997, Kelsey Grammer was in the midst of his “Frasier” fame. He had also appeared as the same character in the show “Cheers” back in the 1980s. He had a production company, Grammnet, that was producing quality programming. He also married a former Playboy model, Camille Donatacci.
At that point in their lives, Kelsey had already achieved fame and fortune. He was worth millions. Camille had also achieved some fame, including appearing in a few music videos, working on MTV, and appearing in Playboy.

Since then, she has produced programming for Grammnet Productions and was one of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Kelsey finished with “Frasier” in 2004 and has appeared in a few failed TV shows. He’s also done voiceover work. Recently, he won a Golden Globe Award for his new show “Boss”, which is based loosely on Chicago’s former mayor Richard Daley.
It’s certainly arguable, but we’d venture a guess that the vast majority of the couple’s assets, before and after their marriage, can be attributed to Kelsey’s fame. That’s not meant as a dig at Cammille. Kelsey is simply more famous and makes more money.
In 1997, the couple wed without a prenuptial agreement. In 2011, they divorced without a prenuptial agreement. Now, they’ve settled their property dispute right down the middle — $30 million in assets for each, according to TMZ.
Kelsey reportedly offered $30 million in a settlement in December. Camille declined. How much have they paid their attorneys since then?
Our readers probably aren’t millionaires. Even still, a prenuptial agreement provides assurance that in 14 years’ time, the divorce will be quicker, easier, and hopefully less financially damaging. In addition to protecting a party’s assets, it also means potentially fewer legal fees should the time come to part ways.
