Since early August, the media has published a whirlwind of different articles and information about the killing of 18yo Michael Brown by Feguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson.
As one would expect, right wing media sources, known to be cop apologists and boot lickers, paint Brown to be a nasty thug who deserved to get shot. On the other side of the coin and never without their race card, left wing news sources paint Brown as a someone who would never do anything wrong and Wilson as a racist devil. This sort of “reporting” has become common place in mainstream news sources.
Keeping race and bias out of the situation, let’s look at the cold hard facts about the shooting of Michael Brown.
Let’s start with officer Darren Wilson.
Darren Wilson and the Ferguson police department have been exposed as liars. Not by the media or some special investigatory unit, but by their own words.
Multiple news sources, including Newsweek and the NY Daily News, published articles quoting Ferguson police chief Tom Jackson as saying….
They were walking down the middle of the street, blocking traffic, that was it,” said Ferguson, Mo., police chief Thomas Jackson.
The theft of a $48.99 box of Swisher Sweets cigars from a convenience store “had nothing to do with the stop,” the chief said.
This, as expected, didn’t mean anything to the political right of this country nor the media outlets that they view as scripture.
Media outlets like FOX News and The Blaze continued to associate the robbery with the shooting.
It wasn’t until recently that officer Wilson’s story has changed.
